GREEN BAY -  The 11th annual labor day picnic was held on Monday at Bay Beach Amusement Park.

Organizers say it's a chance to honor the contributions workers make to the community.

It was put on by union leaders with the AFL, CIO.

From raffles to cook-out food, there was fun for everyone.

Organizers say the picnic is not just about food, it's about celebrating unions both past and present.

"We gather together to celebrate all the things that we've accomplished in the past, for the economic and social well-being of the middle class," said Tony Vanderbloemen, organizer of the event.

The picnic was open to the public.

Organizers say they expected more than 600 people to attend.
