WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. -- A student from Northwood University in West Palm Beach collapsed while playing basketball in the school's student center.

Authorities say Bob Deronvil collapsed on the court about 7 p.m. Saturday. Rescue workers arrived and took the man to Columbia Hospital in West Palm Beach, where he was pronounced dead.

School officials did not have Deronvil's age or his year of study in school.

The Palm Beach Post ( http://bit.ly/rfjlTZ) reports Deronvil was from Ocoee in central Florida.

School spokeswoman Susan McCreery says the university will have counselors available to other students.
