Hotel room covered in blood after woman stabs man, police say - WBTV
CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - A woman fled after police said she stabbed a man at an airport motel early Monday morning -- and the room they shared was covered in blood.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said at first when they found the victim, it was touch and go at best. They describe him as being stabbed three times, he was also covered in blood.
This all started around 1:30am on Monday when officers got a call of a man who had been assaulted at the Airport Motel at 4230 Keeter Drive just off of Little Rock Road in west Charlotte.
According to officials, they found a man in the rear of the motel on the second floor breezeway. He had been stabbed several times.
He was fading in and out of consciousness, and rushed to Carolinas Medical Center. Police said he could have gone either way, but doctors were able to save the victim's life.
Officers followed the blood trail around the building to room 275. When they entered, they said there was blood everywhere.
Police now turned their attention to finding the female suspect who shared a room with the unnamed victim.
A check of the motel's records came up with a name, and a possible location.
Police said they located her at her Mother's house on Colgate Circle about an hour later. According to officers, she was taking a shower, the clothes she was wearing were nearby, still covered in blood.
She was taken into custody, and is being questioned by detectives. Police on the scene said no charges have been filed as of yet, but that still may be an option.
