Hyatt will open 2 hotels in Vladivostok
Hyatt Hotels Corporation announced that its affiliate has signed an agreement with "Our Home - Primorye" company to manage two new hotels in Vladivostok.
JSC "Our Home - Primorye" is a state-owned company, founded in 2002. In 2009 the company was chosen to build five-star hotels in Vladivostok in preparation for the APEC summit in 2012. The company is also a regional operator of residential mortgage lending in the Primorskiy kraj.
It is expected that the opening of Hyatt Regency Vladivostok, Golden Horn and Hyatt Vladivostok, Burny will be held in 2012 on the eve of the APEC summit. The hotels will become a part of the Russian portfolio of the Hyatt network, which now is presented by Ararat Park Hyatt Moscow and Hyatt Regency Yekaterinburg.
Hyatt Regency Vladivostok, Golden Horn designed for 217 rooms (including suites) will offer restaurants, bars, spa and fitness center and will be equipped with spacious rooms for business and feast events. The building is located in the downtown between Svetlanskaya - the main street of Vladivostok – and Korabelnaya quay, where from the hotel opens a panoramic view of the Golden Horn bay. Hyatt Regency Vladivostok, Golden Horn will be located on the beachfront and at the same time near major government and financial institutions of the city. A particular advantage for the participants of the APEC summit 2012 will be location of the hotel near the pier number 36, from which it is easy to reach the Russian Island, the main site of the event.
Another hotel - Hyatt Vladivostok, Burny for 218 rooms - will open its doors at the Cape Burny in the west part of the city. It will be built in close proximity to major highways of the seaside capital. From the hotel windows will open a picturesque view of the Amur bay. In the hotel will operate restaurants, bars, spa and fitness center and spacious conference hall and meeting rooms.
Construction of two new facilities under the Hyatt control in Vladivostok indicates continued expansion of the company around the world. Hyatt and Hyatt Regency are key brands of the network, which include hotels with high potential for large-scale business events. Typically, hotels of these brands are located near major international venues. Today the network includes 140 Hyatt Regency hotels across the globe and more than 25 hotels are under construction in China, India, Latin America, USA, Saudi Arabia and Vietnam. Currently, Hyatt is also building the Hyatt Regency Sochi, scheduled to open in 2013.
"We are proud to be able to contribute to the rapid development of Vladivostok on the eve of APEC-2012 summit, which will be focused on further economic growth, cooperation and investment in the Asia-Pacific region", - said Peter Norman, senior vice-president for development of Hyatt International in Europe, Africa and the Middle East. "With the opening of the new hotels Hyatt will be the first international hotel operator in Vladivostok and will continue to strengthen its positions on the Russian market."
