Loxahatchee Drive closing for repairs
Loxahatchee Drive will be closed for about two months starting Monday from Center Street to Edmund Street. Workers from Lake Park-based Deevan Inc. are scheduled to make stormwater system repairs. Residents will have access to their homes during construction. Signs will be set up to detour traffic.

9/11 ceremonies on county TV
Palm Beach County's government access channel, PBC TV, will offer live coverage of ceremonies in Wellington commemorating the 10th anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks starting at 8:45 a.m. today. The telecast will include the official dedication of the village's Patriot Memorial, which features steel beams from the World Trade Center site. PBC TV is available on Comcast channel 20 and can be viewed online at www.pbcgov.com. Wellington's event is presented by the Fire Chiefs Association of Palm Beach County and will be held at 12198 Forest Hill Blvd.

Atwater speaking at Forum Club
Florida Chief Financial Officer Jeff Atwater will address a noon luncheon Monday held by the Forum Club of the Palm Beaches. Atwater is scheduled to talk about the federal debt crisis' impact on the state, as well as Florida's financial condition. The luncheon is being held at the Cohen Pavilion at the Kravis Center, 701 Okeechobee Blvd., West Palm Beach. Past Forum Club President Wendy Sartory Link will be honored during the program. On Oct. 3, the Forum Club will hear from New York Times financial reporter and author Diana Henriques, author of the book The Wizard of Lies, about Bernie Madoff. Artists wanted for PBIA exhibit
Palm Beach County is looking for local artists to display their work at Palm Beach International Airport. The exhibition will run from Nov. 16 through March 14. Artists must apply through the county's Art in Public Places program. Lost Tree clubhouse breaks ground
West Palm Beach builder The Weitz Co. Inc. has broken ground on a nearly 65,000-square-foot clubhouse at Lost Tree Club Inc. The company was issued a permit by the county . The structure will have a maximum occupancy of 1,500.

Property tax rate unchanged
The village council approved a tax rate of $4.46 per $1,000 taxable value and a $12.5 million general fund budget Thursday for the budget year that begins Oct. 1. The tax rate, which includes a levy for debt service, is unchanged from the current rate. Village property owners also must pay $3.46 per $1,000 taxable value to Palm Beach County Fire Rescue. Including the fire-rescue tax, village property owners will pay $7.92 per $1,000 taxable value. A final public hearing on the budget and tax rate is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Sept. 22 in the village hall community room, 226 Cypress Lane.

Caleb Powell, 18, is wanted for violating probation for burglary and grand theft. He was born on Feb. 10, 1993, and has black hair and brown eyes. He is 6 feet and 185 pounds. His last known address was on Caribbean Boulevard in West Palm Beach.
Albert Hollis, 30, is wanted for failing to appear in court on charges of battery on a police officer and resisting a police officer. He was born on Oct. 20, 1980, and has black hair and brown eyes. He is 6 feet and 250 pounds. He also goes by Reshard Macon. His last known address was on Northeast 11th Avenue, Boynton Beach.
These suspects were wanted as of Thursday. Anyone with information on their whereabouts is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 458-TIPS (8477).
