The bidding for the home, once offered for as much as $11 million in October 2009, will start at $3 million on Wednesday, Sept. 28.

The property at 1255 Pacific Avenue, priced currently at $7.995 million, is selling through auction in conjunction with McMonigle Group under Teles Properties.

Spanning 9,500 square feet of living space on a .46-acre (20,000-square-foot) lot, the modern home features 5 bedrooms, 5.5 bathrooms, 1997 construction, multiple levels, a wine tasting room, a gym, a home theater, a steam room, a lap pool, a spa, ocean views and more.

Per the listing description:

"With a 270-degree view of Laguna's coastline, village, Catalina Island and the Pacific Ocean, this modern estate situated atop the prestigious enclave of Mystic Hills is an architectural 'tour de force' from the talents of Singer and Jeannette. Proportioned at approximately 9,500 square feet, the luxurious estate is crafted from granite, steel, slate, marble and glass. A great room is crowned by a 30' ceiling and boasts a 25' window expanse, and entertainment lounge with wet bar and media. Exclusive highlights include a European-style kitchen with granite countertops, formal dining room with spacious balcony, custom wine cellar with tasting area, 5 bedroom suites, a professional-grade gym with sauna, an elevator, and oversized garage with parking for 3. Outdoors, a stone-enhanced terrace welcomes loggia lounging and dining alongside a 74' lap pool with spa, and a trio of verandas and a rooftop deck offer top-of-the-hill vistas without compare. A brief trip down the hill takes residents to Laguna Beach's world-famous shoreline, where boutiques, restaurants, galleries and beachside parks are enjoyable year-round."

Bidding for the online auction will commence at 7 p.m. Wednesday in a virtual, real-time bidding room that allows participants to see bids cast by others as they come in, according to Auction.com's PR Director Max Sucee.

The bidding will end at midnight, with time subject to the frequency of bids that are cast.
