MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) The Myrtle Beach Police Department is searching for a man accused of peeping into a young woman's window Tuesday night.

According to a police report, officers responded to a home along Bryant Street around 9 p.m. in reference to an unknown man looking into a window at the back of the home.

The victim told officers she saw a white male standing about 5'8" with a thin build and short hair trying to look into the windows of doors that open from her bedroom to the deck at the back of the home.

She said the security flood light was on and the blinds were closed at the time, and the suspect was unable to see inside. When she saw the suspect, she called for her uncle and the suspect fled.

A witness on scene told officers her saw the suspect and began chasing him, but lost sight of the suspect.

The suspect was described as wearing light colored shorts with a pattern on them and a black shirt. He was also said to have been wearing black Reebok Zig-Zog style shoes with a yellow bottom.

According to the victim, the suspect never tried to enter the home and didn't touch the door handle.
