4th Annual Green Expo. Expo features green awareness of greenhouse emissions and climate change. Free sustainability and green living workhops will be offered throughout the day. 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at Education and Training Center, Palm Beach State College, 4200 Congress Ave., Lake Worth. 561-868-3702.Boca Raton Green Market - Children's Museum Event. Shop for local produce, plants, soaps, doggie treats and handmade goods. Sample food and listen to live music with the whole family. 8 a.m.-1 p.m. at Royal Palm Place, South Federal Highway and South Mizner Blvd., Boca Raton. 561-6875. Free.
Butterfly Walk. Walk through the park and see a variety of butterflies and South Florida's historical hardwood hammocks. Learn about the plants that attract butterflies. Reservations required. 11 a.m. at MacArthur Beach State Park, 10900 Jack Nicklaus Drive, North Palm Beach. 561-624-6952. Free with park admission.
Parents Night Out. Drop off the kids for three hours and spend a night out. The kids will be entertained with games, movies and a pizza dinner. Registration required. 6:30-9:30 p.m. at Playtown Cafe, 19575 S. State Road 7, Boca Raton. 561-852-2150. $25 per the first child; $15 per each additional sibling.
Speaker Series. Storyteller, Judge Nelson E. Bailey will share tales of the Seminoles and Florida Cracker Cowboys at this program. Reservations required. 10-11 a.m. at MacArthur Beach State Park, 10900 Jack Nicklaus Drive, North Palm Beach. 561-776-7221. Free with park admission. $15.

Wednesday, Oct. 19
Little Builders. This class for parents and their preschoolers will build and make simple sculptures based on the ABCs. Registration required. 9:15-10:15 a.m. (ages 2-3); 10:15-11:30 a.m. (ages 4-5) Wednesdays through Nov. 9 at Patch Reef Park, 2000 W. Yamato Road, Boca Raton. 561-367-7035. $40 per four-week session.

Thursday, Oct. 20
Spookyville. Old fashioned and Halloween fun for families with young children. Spookyville features trick or treating, spooky games, rides, crafts, costume contents and a haunted house. Friday, Oct. 21
Baby Story Time. Join Ms. Judy for stories and songs to soothe baby. Ages 12-24 months. 10:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. at West Palm Beach Public Library, 411 Clematis St., West Palm Beach. 561-868-7701.
Boca Beach Kids. Guided Hammock Walk. Come and explore the shoreline and its critters. Meet at Gumbo Limbo to be caravan to Red Reef Park. Ages 7-11. Adults must sign in children but do not have to stay. Reservations required. 10:30 a.m.-noon at Gumbo Limbo Nature Center, 1801 N. Ocean Blvd., Boca Raton. 561-338-1473. $9 member; $14 nonmember.
Hip Hop Dance Party. Learn choreographed line dances set to hip hop music. Props will be used for special routines. Ages 5-9. Registration required. 5:30-6:15 p.m. Fridays through Dec. 16 at Patch Reef Park, 2000 W. Yamato Road, Boca Raton. 561-367-7035. $75 per six-week session.
