Officials responding to fire in East Mountain area - Longview News-Journal

Authorities are trying to get to a grass fire in the East Mountain area that is difficult to reach.

According to dispatch reports, fire crews are trying to access the blaze through private property at the intersection of Texas 300 and FM 1844.

No other details were available.

"They are on their way to something," Upshur County Fire Marshal Paul Steelman said. No evacuations have been considered because crews do not know the severity of the situation yet, he added.
