Because it typically can't be a road trip for the Tampa Bay Rays without a little game of dress-up, the team caught the train for New York after Sunday's win in Boston wearing team letterman sweaters.

Manager Joe Maddon went for the 1950s, All-America, high school football star look. Needless to say, the Rays weren't even a gleam in anyone's eye 60 years ago, but the sweaters still sport the team's "TB" logo and players seemed to enjoy them.

Of course, the mood was helped by the Rays taking three of four in Fenway Park from the Red Sox, whom they still trail by two games in the chase for the American League's wild-card playoff spot.

The Rays are off Monday before playing four games with the Yankees, including a doubleheader, before returning home for a weekend series with Toronto.
