The second edition of the Aamby Valley India Bridal Week 2011, a much looked-forward-to event in the calendar of the Indian Fashion Industry, once again is setting new trends in motion this year.

Being hosted from September 23-27 at Hotel Sahara Star, Aamby Valley India Bridal Week 2011 is offering a platform to India's leading designers to dazzle in an extravaganza of design and glamour in a unique venue that re-defines opulence and grandeur. Day 2 took off with an evening of bridal couture and jewellery shows by designers Adarsh Gill, Bhairavi Jaikishan and jewellery designer Queenie Singh.

There was that touch of contemporary chic elegance as the models moved gracefully down the 90 ft ramp erected over the tranquil swimming pool. Giving a '20s look to the creations, Adarsh opened the show with the western section, displaying two beaded-tasselled shimmering minis in ink blue and brown with lacy work.

Bhairavi's bridal wear collection brought together two contrasting inspirations - revolution and tradition. Queenie presented the perfect pieces of jewellery for the modern Indian bride. She ended the show with the three Femina Pantaloon Miss India 2011 winners - Kanishka Dhankhar, Hasleen Kaur, and Ankita Shorey.

Day two of the Aamby Valley India Bridal Week 2011 at Hotel Sahara Star showcased bridal couture and jewellery shows by designers Bhairavi Jaikishan, Queenie Singh and Adarsh Gill.

Vijay Singh, CEO India Bridal Week and Vivek Kumar CEO, Hotel Sahara Star and Aamby Valley City played gracious hosts, while Abhijit Sarkar, Head Corporate Communications was also present. Bhairavi's show was a feast for the eyes. All eyes were on showstopper Malaika Arora Khan as she stepped on the ramp wearing a white net multi-coloured fully embroidered lehenga-choli with a dupatta.

Up next was Queenie's collection with outfits by Ramona Narang Rodella. Queenie ended the show with the three Pantaloon Femina Miss India 2011 winners - Kanishtha Dhankhar, Hasleen Kaur and Ankita Shorey. Adarsh's show saw eye catchers like various long sleeved numbers that kimmed the floor clinched at the waist with chiffon sashes or one shoulder sexy gowns with flouncy hemlines. Dia Mirza in a flared pink lehenga and crystal encrusted corset and Zayed Khan wearing a white brocade sherwani were her showstoppers. Guests including Nisha Jhaveri, Lata Patel, Tanaaz Doshi, Kangna Ranaut, Madhoo Shah, Rukhshana Eisa and Krishika Lulla attended the shows.

The line-up for today includes Neeta Lulla, and Falguni and Shane Peacock.
