Authorities say a Florida Highway Patrol trooper and another driver were seriously injured in a three-vehicle crash in West Palm Beach.

A crash report shows that 64-year-old Miriam G. Acosta was trying to make a left turn at an intersection Monday morning when she turned into the path of an oncoming patrol car driven by Trooper Tommy Rodriguez. The vehicles collided, and Acosta's car was knocked into a third vehicle.

Fire rescue officials say Acosta and Rodriguez were both airlifted to a Delray Beach hospital.

The Palm Beach Post ( http://bit.ly/qSnwn6) reports that Acosta and Rodriguez both apparently had green lights, but witnesses at the scene said Acosta made her left turn too slowly.

No charges were immediately reported.
