A West Palm Beach home healthcare provider was arrested Friday on charges of stealing from an elderly client.

Amy Sybil Strow, 34, was hired as a home health aide by 85-year-old Toby Glazer in July. She since forged and cashed 13 of Glazer's personal checks, stealing a total of $3,627, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office.

Strow claimed that Glazer allowed her to write and sign checks and that he paid her extra to walk the dog and do otther jobs. But Glazer denied authorizing the signing of checks.

Glazer signed forgery affidavits at a Wells Fargo branch on Aug. 24.

When detectives confronted Strow with the allegations, she confessed, the sheriff's office said.
