Chin Swee Temple, Genting Highland
Posted on Tuesday, January 6, 2009 by destination tips travel
We had a simple breakfast at the hotel after check out and say : "Bye-bye!" to Genting Highland.
On the way descending from Genting, we dropped by this temple - Chin Swee Temple (N3°24.771' E101°47.311'). It's located approximately 3.7km away from the Theme Park Hotel.
"Chin Swee Temple is a Taoist temple in Genting Highlands, Pahang, Malaysia. It is fully funded by Genting Berhad, even last time during the Genting Berhad founder, Lim Goh Tong's 90th birthday, they donated RM 10 million or USD 2.5 million to the temple." (from wiki)
We parked our car beside this tower, called The Million Buddha Tower (Direct translate from chinese).
Climb up from the staircase, there are many buildings around....
The statue of Tan Sri Dato Seri (Dr) Lim Goh Tong is on your right.
Opposite the Goh Tong Hall, there's a Giant Buddha.
Stairs case are everywhere and surround the temple...
Along the small hill, basically there is display (explain) of 'The Hell' by the Taoism.
There are many punishments for those who pass away and step in to Hell. Every mistake you did, you gonna pay for it after you die.
The pictures below is the end of the punishment, and you are ready to Re-born.
And last we saw this Famous Eight Gods.
The temple area was cold and calm.
It took us about one hour to walked around, then we continue our journey to Kuala Lumpur for lunch...
