Strawberry Park at Candikuning beside Beratan Lake - Bali, Indonesia
Posted on Friday, July 9, 2010 by destination tips travel
Before we step into the Ulun Danu Temple, we drop by this Strawberry Park (S8 16.308 E115 09.797) just about 500 meter away. The journey took about 1 hour 30 minutes (60km) from Harris Kuta Resort.
The park is located about 1250 meter above sea level, based on the GPS device reading. Weather was cooling, but...we realized that was not a Strawberry harvest season after we stepped in! Oh no!
Therefore, we just relax and walk through the park. As you can see from the photos below, NO strawberry! Haha!
I noticed the strawberries were planted directly on the earth where it's different planting method from the Big Red Strawberry Farm at Cameron Highlands where visited before...
Luckily, I found One small strawberry within the farm...this was the ONLY strawberry.
So I can only snap the photos of the flora and fauna within the park...anyway, I found some interesting flowers over here...
The area was cooling (temperature was about 22C), and I believe this was the all year weather. I spotted mosses everywhere in the park...I like mosses. :)
There is a small cafe for visitors to enjoy the atmosphere of the Strawberry Park that we had our coffee over here. I was disappointed with the coffee because TOO sweet!
The cafe was nice and well maintained. I like the cold air surrounding the park. Not many tourist around, that made the environment quite and peaceful.
We hanged around the park for an hour, then we continue the journey to our next destination - Ulun Danu Temple of Beratan Lake.
