Haven in the City: Citadines Sukhumvit in Bangkok
Posted on Wednesday, August 3, 2011 by destination tips travel
Bangkok is well-known for its combination of restful places where getting in touch with oneâ€TMs inner self is possible while also offering the adventurous excitement of a modern city. One such place that answers the need for a peaceful haven and a luxurious heaven is Citadines Sukhumvit in Bangkok, a fact that manifests itself with the first sight of the building.
Peaceful Neighborhood
Ironically, the Citadines hotel may be located near the prime business, commercial and financial districts of Bangkok but its neighborhood is a relatively peaceful one. The high level of safety and security the area is its most desirable attribute with most tourists and expatriates loving the neighborhood for this exact reason.
If you want to be in on the exciting action of the city, the restaurants, cafes and nightclubs as well as the shops, department stores and malls of Bangkok are either just a short walk or ride away. You will see why Bangkok is known around the Asia as its capital for fashion, music and dance, and entertainment even on your first night checked into the Citadines Sukhumvit.
You will want to explore the other areas of Bangkok, obviously. Just walk to the transport terminals like the subway, sky train and tuk tuk to do so. Be sure to know where you want to go, bring a map, ask locals for directions or hire a guide.
Bangkok is a big city and it is so easy to get lost where you may have an adventure more than you bargained for. The good news is that the locals are usually helpful while the international embassies are near the hotel so asking for directions is a breeze.
Private Haven
Inside the rooms of Citadines Sukhumvit in Bangkok, guests will find a peaceful haven where their privacy is well-protected. Management sees to it that the safety and security of the guests and residents are looked after while the maintenance of the premises and grounds are top-notch. With Thai hospitality as the foundation of the services rendered by the staff members, staying in one of the suites is a joy.
Each of the 138 apartments is fully-furnished from the living room to the bedrooms. Take a look at the 28-square meter studio apartment.
Its walls are done in white to give the feeling of spaciousness while the wooden floors provide the cozy contrast. The long, luxurious leather sofa has colorful throw pillows such that this can be used as an additional bed, if the need arises. The large television has cable connections for your entertainment while the home theater system makes listening to music and watching movies a joy.
The kitchen of the suites at the Citadines makes for a great place to replicate Thai cuisine. The bathroom is a haven, too, especially on hot days when driving away the heat by soaking on the tub is best.
Truly, the Citadines Sukhumvit is a haven in the city. You may think that the rental rates are steep but the luxuries within the apartments are well worth it.
