nullDespite the fact that Irene has moved out of the area and weather has cleared up across New York State, many roads and bridges are still closed throughout the state. There is significant flooding across the state, causing roadway closures from Albany all the way to New York City.

I-90 Closures: The section of thruway from exit 12 (Nyack) to exit 16 (Route 17) is closed, as well as the section between exit 27 and exit 29A.

I-87 Closures: Northbound, I-87 is closed from exit 7 (Ardsley) to exit 21 (Catskill). Southbound, you can't get through between exit 24 in Albany and exit 12 in Nyack.

Amtrak says all service from Rochester to New York City has been canceled for Monday. Greyhound say passengers should expect some delays in travel.

Rochester International Airport is operating flights in and out of Rochester, but many flights to the east coast are still canceled or delayed.

New York City subway service was partially restored Monday morning, and the three main airports in New York City are hoping to get flights operating again Monday. This is the first time a natural disaster has ever shut down the MTA in New York.

You can get more information on road closures across the state by visiting www.511NY.org and the NYS Thruway website.

As always, if you are planning on flying today, it is recommended that you check with the airline for the status of your flight before leaving the house. You can get updates on arrivals and departures for Rochester here.
