The body found floating off Pismo Beach today has been identified as missing Shell Beach man Dylan Winebrenner, said police.
The body was discovered after someone reported that they saw a body floating in the water near Dinosaur Caves Park just before noon today.
The 32-year-old man was reported missing Friday after friends found his 15-year-old dog alone on a remote section of coastline in Pismo Beach.
A roommate last saw Dylan Winebrenner at 8 p.m. Sunday, according to police.
He appears to be in between jobs and a permanent residence, according to police, but he grew up in the area and was most recently living with friends.
