Albert Haynesworth won't suit up for the New England Patriots in Sunday's game against the Oakland Raiders. Evidently, he isn't even in the same state.

NFL RedZone

Watching football on Sundays will be a whole new experience with NFL Network's channel, NFL RedZone. Find out why.

The Boston Herald reported Saturday that Haynesworth didn't travel with the Patriots to Oakland. Haynesworth, who's nursing a back injury, missed his second consecutive practice Friday and had been listed as questionable to play against the Raiders.

Haynesworth has battled the injury for a couple of weeks, and he didn't play in last Sunday's 34-31 loss at Buffalo. The Patriots certainly could use Haynesworth's presence against the Raiders, the NFL's top rushing team at 185 yards per game, and they probably will have to play veteran defensive tackle Gerard Warren, who re-signed with the team this week.

The Patriots announced one roster move Saturday, signing offensive lineman Thomas Welch from the practice squad and releasing safety Ross Ventrone, who made his NFL debut last week.
