BRANSON, Mo. — The southwest Missouri city known for its variety shows and outlet stores now has a new attraction for outdoors enthusiasts.

A 10.25-mile mountain bike trail in Table Rock State Park will officially open Friday with an 11 a.m. dedication ceremony. The White River Valley Trail was built by the parks system and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. A portion of the trail is on Corps land.

The trail consists of four loops for bikers and hikers, with elevation changes ranging from 710 feet to nearly 1,200 feet above sea level. The main trailhead is located on Missouri 165 north of the park's main entrance
