Monday, August 29, 2011
Access America, the world's leading travel insurance provider and a brand of Mondial Assistance, is the newest sponsor of ASTA's THETRAVELBLOGGERSHOW (Las Vegas, Sept. 11). Through its generous support, Access America will be hosting a lunch for registered attendees from 12 – 1 p.m. To further engage travel industry professionals, Access America will also launch a trivia contest for travel agents on its Facebook page to "show what you know" for a chance to win one of five $50 American Express gift cards. Travel agents are encouraged to visit Access America's fan page at www.facebook.com/accessamerica and click the "Show What You Know" tab. The contest will run from Sept. 11 through Oct. 7.
"We are extremely pleased that Access America has joined us in sponsoring this event," said ASTA CEO Tony Gonchar. "Their generous support will be instrumental in making THETRAVELBLOGGERSHOW a success, and will introduce both aspiring and current travel bloggers to their product and the importance to consumers of purchasing travel insurance when planning their next trip."
"THETRAVELBLOGGERSHOW presents a valuable opportunity to engage with travel bloggers and travel professionals who can help us to communicate the value of travel insurance to a broad audience. With all the unexpected world events that have occurred recently, there's a growing appreciation for the importance of travel insurance. THETRAVELBLOGGERSHOW is an ideal gathering to have a constructive dialogue about that," said Daniel Durazo, director of communications for Access America.
Access America is the travel insurance brand of Mondial Assistance USA, a global provider of travel insurance and assistance with offices in 28 countries. Mondial Assistance is a unit of Allianz, the world's largest property and casualty insurance company.
THETRAVELBLOGGERSHOW, held in conjunction with ASTA's Travel Retailing & Destination Expo (THETRADESHOW) (Las Vegas, Sept. 11-13), brings seasoned and aspiring bloggers together with travel industry professionals for a day of networking and learning. With both morning and afternoon seminar sessions, the event includes time for attendees to walk the trade show floor, where hundreds of travel suppliers from around the world will be exhibiting. There, they can learn about multiple destinations and connect with important industry suppliers.
THETRAVELBLOGGERSHOW is sponsored in part by the social travel network, Tripatini.com, and top travel blog, Gadling.com.
