Vacation Time Along the Cool Fresh Waters of Our Great Lakes

If anyone has ever traveled around the Great Lakes they would tell you that one of the best places to travel would be around any of the well populated outskirts of a major city, not because of the palm trees or coconuts, but because of the fresh water and sunshine that makes it feel like a tropical paradise.
There are some disadvantages to traveling far distances- to see the sea and the surf. Among those are getting stung by jellyfish or getting burned from the summer sun and last but not least paying for a high-priced plane ticket. If you are one of the people who are looking for a vacation spot that can be affordable and relaxing then finding place to stay near a large body of water will a perfect vacation.
Renting a cottage, condominium or house can be a little pricey, but if you consider the cost of staying in a hotel and then finding for a place to eat you might discover cooking a meal in your own kitchen may pay dividends. The cost of eating out is expensive, if you can buy your food and cook it you might save 30 percent on your vacation. Of course dining out is always a part of the experience, so don't forget to eat out special. Finding a place to rent alongside the lakeshore is about as rewarding as it gets, especially if you have a view of the lake from your porch or window. Waking up to that treat is worth the price of admission.
Whether you are a couple looking for a place to be romantic or a family who wants to find a place that is friendly and inexpensive then traveling to the Great Lakes may be what you need. Swimming opportunities abound here. The beaches are fantastic, in fact if you compared a picture from the warm southern USA to the fresh water beaches there would be little difference.
One of the nicest beaches I have seen is laid out in the middle of Cedar Point amusement Park. Of course beaches and water along lake Michigan is as stunning as ever. The beaches have plenty of sand and if you go beyond the beachline you might even find fossils. The shoreline is dotted with rocks and some places are so full of stones you have millions to turn.
If you find the perfect place to rent, perfect place to swim and a perfect place to watch a sunset then you have found a place to relax and help you deal with the fast pace life. Vacation rentals are the key to the experience.
