Showers and storms due in Palm Beach County, Treasure Coast - Palm Beach Post

Remember yesterday's weather? Today's weather in Palm Beach County and the Treasure Coast is expected to be similar with some showers this morning, more showers and some thunderstorms this afternoon.

A tropical wave over the western Caribbean and to our southwest is contributing to all this moisture in the forecast. It is very unlikely that this wave will to turn into a tropical storm in the next couple days, but its northern portion is expected to move through parts of South Florida today. The National Weather Service reports this movement will encourage thunderstorms to develop in the late morning and afternoon.

The National Weather Service gives us a 60 percent chance of rain.

All that cloud cover will keep our high temperatures in the upper 80s.

Offshore, there's just a slight chance of rip currents, but the weather service says there is a high chance of waterspouts developing this morning and into early this afternoon.
