KEYSER, W.Va. — Amonte Turner rushed for 171 yards and three touchdowns on 12 carries to lead the Keyser Steelers past the Mountain Ridge Miners, 36-22, in Cumberland Area Youth Football League action at Alumni and Friends Stadium at Tornado Alley.

Turner scored the first two touchdowns of the game on runs of 45 and 12 yards as Keyser (4-1) scored four times in the second quarter to lead 24-0 at the half. Eric Willis scored on a three-yard pass from Aaron Miller as Jake Poland kicked three two-point conversions.

After Terrell Bush scored on a three-yard run in the fourth quarter to make it 30-0, Mountain Ridge scored 22 points in the quarter as Michael Livingston found Dylan Shimko three times — 23, 18 and 32 yards — for touchdowns. After the second one, Turner went 55 yards for this third TD for Keyser.

Miller was 6-for-10 passing for 159 yards for Keyser as Willis caught four passes for 82 yards and Eathan Whitlock two for 77 yards. Defensively, Willis and Turner had interceptions and Cole Weaver had a sack.

For the Miners, Livingston was 12-for-18 passing for 181 yards and the three TD passes to Shimko, who had eight catches for 122 yards. Defensively, Dylan Williams and Lucas Lowry recovered fumbles, while Hayden Lindsey and Lowry had sacks.

Keyser plays at Braddock Saturday, while the Miners will host Oakland this weekend.

In Division II, Keyser (3-2) defeated the Miners (1-4), 31-6. Matt Liller rushed for 161 yards and two touchdowns on 12 carries, while Trevon Rideout and Andrew Liller both scored touchdowns.

Kaden McElhenny hit  Colton White with a 15-yard TD pass for the Miners.

Oakland Rams    8

OAKLAND — Noah Bible scored three touchdowns and rushed for 104 yards on 11 carries to lead the Ridgeley Rams to a win over the Oakland Rams at Southern Garrett High School.

Bible's touchdown runs came from six, 32 and 55 yards out, while Kristian Robinette, who rushed for 118 yards on 11 carries, scored on a 21-yard run. Nathan Strietbeck kicked a two-point conversion.

For Oakland, Brian Kelly scored on a fourth-quarter 55-yard run and Corey Horner kicked the two-pointer.

Defensively, Timmy Friend had six tackles, a sack and a blocked punt. Dakota Hudson had six tackles, while Jacob Kessel had five tackles and two sacks and Grant Clayton an interception.

Ridgeley hosts Northern Saturday, while Oakland will play the Miners at Westmar Middle.

In the Division II game, Blake Rhodes scored two touchdowns and Karson Robinette scored one to lead Ridgeley to a 21-0 win over Oakland. A.J. Crist kicked a two-point conversion and Brayden Poling rushed for 98 yards on 14 carries. Robinette and Rhodes both had interceptions.

Patriots 32, Braddock Warriors 16

CUMBERLAND — Rean Smith rushed for 150 yards on 17 carries and scored a touchdown, while Brandon Harper scored a pair of touchdowns and rushed for 125 yards on 14 carries to lead the Personal Best/Hartley's Pizza Patriots over the Braddock Warriors Sunday at Greenway Avenue Stadium.

The Patriots scored eight points in each quarter, with D.J. Powell scoring the first TD of the game on a two-yard run, with Jordan Warner kicking the first of his four two-point conversions. The Warriors countered with a 48-yard touchdown pass from Carson Imes to Tyrone Maddox and Derick Kerns kicked the first of his two two-pointers.

The Patriots came back with a two-yard TD run by Harper, but so, too, did the Warriors with a 57-yard touchdown run by Darian King-Ottaviani to tie the score at 16-16 at the half.

In the third quarter, Smith scored from 15 yards out for the Pats and Harper scored from 35 yards out in the fourth.

King-Ottaviani rushed for 140 yards and the touchdown for the Warriors. Defensively he had eight tackles, as did Tyler Eirich.

Defensively, Luke Stegmaier and Harper both had seven tackles for the Patriots.

The Patriots (3-2) will have a league bye this weekend, but will participate in an exhibition with the Special Olympics flag football team Sunday, 4 p.m., at Bishop Walsh.

The Warriors (2-3) will host Keyser Saturday at 2 p.m.

In the Division II game, the Patriots defeated the Warriors, 29-6. Kaleb Harden and Braydon Brown scored first-quarter touchdowns for the Pats, while Trent Groves kicked a pair of two-point conversions.

Luke Hamilton and Noah Steckman scored second-half touchdowns for the Patriots and Chance Tyler took in a Logan Johnson pass for an extra point. Brown rushed for 113 yards. Austin Weisenmiller recovered a fumble while Jesse Miltenberger and Groves made tackles for losses.

Gavin DeHaven scored the Braddock Warriors touchdown on a five-yard run.

The Division II Patriots will play against the Division II BW Spartans Sunday at Bishop Walsh School.

• In a lone Division II game, the Northern Steelers defeated Bishop Walsh, 32-0, as Austin Evans scored on a 40-yard run, kicked four two-point conversions and rushed for 91 yards on 10 carries. Calyb King rushed for a touchdown and hit Cayleb Broadwater for a 22-yard TD pass, while Keegan Broadwater scored on an 11-yard run.

Richard Ravenscroft, Jordan Short and Jordan Day all intercepted passes for Northern. Sean Rhodes had 13 tackles for BW and Harry Moore caught a pair of passes for 39 yards.

The Steelers play Saturday at Ridgeley. Bishop Walsh hosts the Patriots Sunday.
