Authorities say they are investigating the death of a man whose body was found in the office of a hotel near Lake Arrowhead as a homicide.

The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department says 56-year-old Daniel Rubalcava was found dead at about 10:40 p.m. Wednesday in the office of the Antlers Inn in Twin Peaks in the San Bernardino Mountains.

An autopsy is scheduled to determine the cause of death. Authorities say Rubalcava appeared to have suffered blunt-force trauma to the head.

The Antlers Inn is described as an "historic" hotel on its website with individual cabins that sleep two to 12 people located only a couple of miles from Lake Gregory and Lake Arrowhead, shopping and hiking trails.

Twin Peaks is about 75 miles northeast of downtown Los Angeles.
