PHOENIX - A Phoenix hotel manager was arrested by Maricopa County Sheriff's deputies Thursday on suspicion of violating employer sanction laws.

Deputies arrested Jorge Molinar, who manages the Days Inn at 502 W. Camelback Road, over a month after a raid at the Phoenix hotel.

MCSO raided the Days Inn on August 24, after a two-month investigation determined that 10 of the 18 workers at the hotel were "using false information to gain employment."

It was the 51st employer sanction operation for MCSO, officials said.

Apraio also used Thursday's arrest as an opportunity to criticize President Obama.

On Wednesday, a reporter asked the President about the Department of Justice's ongoing investigation of the sheriff's office. Obama said that he couldn't comment on the case but that Arizona's new immigration law, supported by Arpaio, is not what's best for the country.

Arpaio responded with a statement, saying, "The President's new immigration policy and his comments about me, yesterday, relating to the three-year DOJ investigation of alleged racial profiling will not deter my stance on enforcing ALL state and federal immigration laws including crime suppression, human smuggling, employee sanction/false ID investigation and raids in the work place."
