Carroll College's cornerbacks made sure the third-ranked Saints' 2011 homecoming game was a memorable one.

Mike Siegersma picked off Rocky Mountain College quarterback Bryce Baker with less than 4 minutes left in the game, rumbling 70 yards to paydirt amid the roar of a large crowd at Nelson Stadium. It was the sophomore corner's third forced turnover of the game, which Carroll won 30-7 on Saturday.

It was Siegersma's first pick-six of the season, despite leading the Frontier Conference with five interceptions. The wide receiver-turned-cornerback entered the day fifth in the NAIA in total picks. It was also his first time finding the end zone since high school.

The two corners combined for six tackles for the Saints. In addition to Siegersma's interception return, Lopez also added a pass breakup. Baker tested them early and often and, on one particular drive early in the fourth quarter, he went Lopez's direction on three straight pass attempts - all of which fell incomplete.

Baker, facing Carroll (5-1 Frontier, 6-1 overall) for the first time after sitting out the first meeting with an injury, finished 19 of 29 for 156 yards and a touchdown.

No. 21 Rocky Mountain (3-3 Frontier, 4-3) again struggled to slow down Carroll running back Chance Demarais, who finished with 169 yards.

Montana Western 30, MSU-Northern 27

At Dillon, Western's Aukkarapong Sribenjakul booted the winning 31-yard field goal in the closing seconds.

Western (2-4 Frontier, 2-5 overall) has its two wins back to back.

The Bulldogs led 27-12 in the fourth quarter before James Chandless scored back-to-back TDs to help pull the Lights into a tie with less than a minute to play.

Montana Western grabbed a 14-0 halftime lead behind Mike Gallagher's 41-yard TD catch in the first quarter and a blocked MSU-Northern punt that the Bulldogs' Ryan Otto recovered in the end zone early in the second quarter.

Western quarterback Zach McRae passed for 221 yards and two touchdowns.

Stephen Silva rushed for 189 yards for Northern (3-3 league and overall).

Eastern Oregon 22, Montana Tech 15

LA GRANDE, Ore. - Eastern Oregon blocked a chip shot field goal attempt and Max Hannah returned it 80 yards for a touchdown as time expired to preserve Eastern Oregon's 22-15 Frontier Conference win over Montana Tech Saturday afternoon.

The block was the second by the Mountaineers in the final minute of the game.

Leading 16-15, Eastern Oregon blocked a 32-yard attempt by Zach Reisenauer. Tech offensive lineman Drew Waltee recovered the block and ran it to the Eastern 6-yard line. That set up Tech's game-winning attempt from 23 yards out with 3 seconds on the clock.

No. 23 Eastern Oregon (5-1, 5-2) took the lead for good on a 31-yard touchdown run by Kevin Sampson with 4:45 left.

Sampson ran for 101 yards on 18 carries. Eastern quarterback Chris Ware pass for 199 yards.

Brian Schwarzkoph passed for just 89 yards. The sophomore ran for 38, including several key first-down scrambles late in the game. Hansen ran for 72 yards on 29 carries.

The Orediggers (1-6, 0-6) lost their sixth straight game.
