John Murphy was named general manager at the Woodmark Hotel, Yacht Club & Spa in Kirkland.

Murphy was most recently employed by Columbia Hospitality, and his positions included serving as general manager of the Salish Lodge and Spa at Snoqualmie Falls, general manager of the Cedarbrook Lodge & Conference Center in SeaTac and general manager of the Bell Harbor Conference Center in Seattle.

Banking: Debra Goodrich was named executive vice president and Home Loan Division executive at Sterling Savings Bank, Mountlake Terrace. David Thorsen was hired as vice president and mortgage area manager for Umpqua Bank's Puget Sound area.

Health care: Dr. Gina Chen and Dr. Richard Granger joined The Polyclinic Northgate, Seattle.

Insurance: Neal Fuller was named senior vice president, chief financial officer and assistant secretary at SeaBright Holdings.

Technology: Dave Osborn was hired as the head of strategic accounts at the new AppNexus office in Seattle. John Butler was appointed director of business development at Confluence Digital, Seattle. Steve Banfield was named chief product officer at Korrio, Seattle.
